Long term residential treatment co hosts bi annual conference

At the Fall 2009 ITCC conference, old friends caught up over breakfast and new friendships were forged across the tables and intimate booths that characterize the conference’s setting this year- the Caribbean Court Boutique Hotel. Therapists at detoxes and primary care facilities exchanged contact information with the therapists at long term residential treatment centers and outpatient monitoring programs. Details were revealed, like primary care centers specialize in addicted patients with chronic pain and long term residential treatment centers that cater to older professionals, as each center made a 10 minute presentation. Among those who attended this conference were: Newport Academy (a residential California treatment program and school for addicted adolescents), Pine Grove Behavioral Health (which has an internationally acclaimed VIP program), Intervention 911 (one of the nation’s premier companies providing effective interventions), The Gonzalez Recovery Residences (a long term residential treatment center for addicted professionals and adult students), and Pasadena Villa (a long term residential treatment center for those affected by a variety of mental disorders). While a picture of this conference is proving difficult to track down, attendees had a wonderful few days of learning and relaxation!
